These experiences are what make a survival game. That feeling when you're freezing to death trying to make a fire, or you're defenceless being chased by creatures. Hurtworld is a hardcore multiplayer survival FPS with a focus on deep survival progression that doesn't become trivial once you establish some basic needs. It may be worth waiting until we are further through development before getting on board (We're not going anywhere).
Where other games like it would either leave you with a permanent mistake that needs to be removed by raiding tools or if you are able to remove it, you lose all materials in the process.WARNING: Hurtworld is still very early in development. Something worth mentioning with the building aspect is, if you place an object in the wrong spot or position then you can remove the piece and gain back some of the material. As there is far too little to do or hunt down and kill outside of other players and a few creature types. If however you enjoy the challenges found more outside of PvP, then this game may not be for you. If you are hard into PvP in these style games then maybe this one would fit you, but there are better that offer more action than Hurtworld does. Oh which is another fun aspect of the game as you build and customise vehicles like the dirt bike, a 4-wheeler, car, transport and even a helicopter to fly and shoot rockets with in Hurtworld. I crashed my first one I put together trying to lift off. I still have to experiment with the Mozzy, but it sounds interesting and I'm not even a raider. Now there is rocket launchers and a Mozzy helicopter. You originally only had C4 and a Raid Drill (VERY loud tool) to raid bases with, which were both hard enough to obtain.
Raiding in this game wasn't as easy as in other games of this style either, so it made base building more worthwhile in comparison to other games like it. There just isn't enough to offer most players that another game like this would have to offer, PvP & PvM both. The game lacks in a lot of areas that other survival builder games have to offer, but it still holds a special place for me with the time I've invested in the game so far, which is more than 1000 hours. The game was real fun when it first released and I still log on it from time to time to enjoy the building aspects of it. Absolutely love the art style in Hurtworld.
